Top of the Rock tickets and add-ons

A plain ticket gets you onto the deck. The Beam and Skylift are add-ons you pick at checkout.

The Beam lets you recreate "Lunch Atop a Skyscraper", the famous 1932 photo. Skylift takes you three more stories above the top floor of 30 Rock. Both are in the VIP tour.

Rockefeller Center's pages list these "from" prices:

Official Top of the Rock tickets (US dollars, on the official site, adult "from" prices)
TicketFrom
General admission$40
The Beam + admission$57
All-Inclusive (Skylift + the Beam)$72

Top of the Rock or the other decks?

Pick Top of the Rock for the view of Central Park and the Empire State Building. From here, the Empire State is part of your view, not under your feet.

For mirror rooms and glass skyboxes instead, compare a SUMMIT One Vanderbilt ticket. It is a short walk away, by Grand Central.

Rockefeller Center tours with the deck

A guided tour adds the story of Rockefeller Center to the view. Three of our picks include the deck, or offer it as an option.

  • Fifth Avenue walk: mansions and Rockefeller Center, then the deck. 2 hours.
  • VIP tour: a lounge, a rooftop garden, the Beam and Skylift. 2 hours.
  • Rockefeller Center tour: Art Deco art and Radio City, deck optional. 1.5 hours.

Rockefeller Center: what you can see and what needs a ticket

The deck needs a ticket. Rockefeller Center is a 22-acre group of buildings, called a "city within a city" in one tour listing. Its Art Deco art is on the buildings themselves.

Rockefeller Center says its Christmas tree goes up in November and is lit in early December.

Things to do near Rockefeller Center

Fifth Avenue starts right outside. The walks above pass its mansions and St Patrick's Cathedral. Times Square is a short walk away.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and Grand Central are a walk away too. In the holiday season, the lights walk ends with the tree.
